Sinopsis
This anime is based on a traditional Chinese tale, Tu Tze-chun, which tells the story of a young man who becomes wealthy after discovering buried treasure but loses it all due to a life of extravagance. This version is an adaptation of Ryuunosuke Akutagawa's retelling of the tale, titled Toshishun. Akutagawa is known as the "father of Japanese short stories," and Japan's premier literary award, the Akutagawa Prize, is named after him.
