Synopsis
After a stingy man eats some cherry seeds, a cherry tree grows on his head, causing him a lot of trouble.
Arrière-plan
The film won the 2003 Annecy International Animated Film Festival Grand Prix (Le Cristal d'Annecy) for Best Short Film. It's also the winner of the Excellence Award on the 6th Japan Media Arts Festival. This animated film is a modern interpretation of the traditional Japanese Rakugo story "Atama-yama" set in contemporary Tokyo.
