Synopsis
They are the Cyborg fighters, battling against evil and aiding those in need! Alongside scientist Dr. Gilmore, this team of nine cyborgs utilizes their unique body enhancements to confront a relentless array of foes, including robotic crabs, aliens, and fellow cyborgs. Each cyborg possesses a distinct power, which they employ in their mission to combat evil. The titular character, 009, also known as Hurricane Joe, leads the team with his superhuman strength, bullet resistance, and time-acceleration abilities. His teammates stand by his side to safeguard humanity from falling into malevolent hands. The team in Cyborg 009 faces numerous adversaries and thwarts countless threats to their hometown and even Earth. Regardless of the challenges, justice will prevail.
Arrière-plan
Cyborg 009 repurposed the theme songs from the previously released movies, but the show was animated in black and white. It remained fairly true to the source manga, although one character was changed into a young child. The anime has obvious visual ties to the groundbreaking Astro Boy, and was marketed in some countries as 'Astro Boy 009'.
