Synopsis
Broadcasted on TV Asahi in 1981, with a runtime of 111 minutes, Frankenstein is a fairly typical adaptation of Mary Shelley's classic novel. In a gloomy castle, Dr. Victor Frankenstein conducts a gruesome experiment aimed at resurrecting the deceased. With his assistant's help, he succeeds in reviving a creature assembled from corpse parts, but the being is terrifying and unpredictable. The doctor flees to his home in Switzerland, leaving his assistant to destroy the monster. However, Dr. Frankenstein soon realizes he cannot escape his shameful secret forever, as mysterious murders occur around him, making him question if his creation is truly gone.
