Synopsis
The emperor of the Central Plains has vanished for several months. Li Mao, a general of the Imperial Guard, and Wei Xian, a court advisor, are secretly sent by the Empress Dowager to find him. Along the way, they encounter Zong Sheng, a martial arts prodigy who transforms into a child when he cries; Fan Tian, a teenager with partial amnesia; and Gong Liangzhen, a kind and resilient young Taoist nun with a leg ailment. Their initial meeting is tense, but each has their own agenda. The chaos seems to point to a legendary, mysterious immortal mountain and the secret of eternal life.
