Synopsis
For decades, the United Earth Sphere Alliance has maintained a ruthless grip over Earth and its space colonies. After the colonies openly resisted, their leader was killed. In After Colony 195, embittered colonial rebels initiate "Operation Meteor," dispatching five advanced mobile suits to Earth in a bid for retribution. Constructed from the nearly indestructible Gundanium Alloy, these Gundams commence their offensive against the Alliance and its subsidiary, OZ. One Gundam, piloted by a young man who has assumed the name of the murdered colony leader Heero Yuy, is forced down into the ocean following a fierce battle in the atmosphere with OZ's top pilot, Zechs Marquise. After washing ashore, he is discovered by Relena Peacecraft, the daughter of a politician advocating for peace, who sees Heero's arrival on Earth. Unbeknownst to them, this chance meeting will deeply alter the course of their lives, as well as the fate of Earth and the space colonies.
