Synopsis

Tanis, a child prodigy, is the youngest son of two eccentric scientists. His family has lived in isolation on a remote island, where his parents conducted experiments on his siblings, granting them extraordinary abilities. However, their activities are halted when they are caught and arrested. Tanis is taken to a more populated island with his four siblings: Snow, a dog-human hybrid; Ashise, a plant-human hybrid; Aisley, a spider-human hybrid; and Suishi, a mind-reader. As the only unmodified sibling, Tanis takes on the responsibility of helping his siblings adapt to society while concealing their unique characteristics.

Shiyan Pin Jiating, also known as The Frankenstein Family, is based on the ongoing manhua series of the same name, created by Yanai, a manhuajia from Hong Kong. The series is published by Sun Comics, who collaborated with Tencent Penguin Pictures and Phoenix Animation on the anime adaptation. In an added segment in the original manhua, creator Yanai states that the ideas for the characters originated from a group drawing project in middle school, which he then further refined.
