Synopsis

With a new batch of talented students arriving, Seishou Music Academy's Actor Training Department is buzzing with excitement. The graduating 99th class is preparing for their final performance of Starlight, a touching tale of two girls parting ways. While most students have their post-graduation plans set, Karen Aijou is left uncertain. After fulfilling her promise to perform with her ambitious childhood friend Hikari Kagura, Karen struggles to find her purpose. Hikari had always been the spark that fueled Karen's passion for performing. Now, without her friend by her side, Karen must navigate the world of stage girls and carve out her own path.

Originally set to debut in theaters on May 21, 2021, Shoujo☆Kageki Revue Starlight Movie was postponed due to the COVID-19 pandemic and Japan's extended state of emergency. The film premiered in North America as Revue Starlight: The Movie at Anime Central 2022 on May 20, 2022, and hit theaters on June 5, 2022. The movie was released on Blu-ray in Japan on December 22, 2021.
