Sinossi
Dance is not a necessity for survival. In 1374, during the tumultuous era of conflict between the Northern and Southern Courts, the Northern Court's shogun, Ashikaga Yoshimitsu, was rising as a dominant force. Oniyasha, the son of Kanami, the leader of the Kanze troupe of sarugaku performers, drifts through life with a lingering question: Why do people dance? His spirit remains unclear until he encounters a dance that is truly "good." Curious, sensitive, and strikingly beautiful, the boy meets people, laughs, cries, confronts his own weaknesses, and gradually begins to shape a new form of dance for a world filled with impermanence.
