Sinossi

After a terrorist attack on a nuclear facility in Japan, the word "VON" is left behind in red. The government is shaken, and the police are desperate to find the culprits. Six months later, a strange video surfaces online, featuring two teenage boys who call themselves "Sphinx" and threaten to cause chaos in Tokyo. Detective Kenjirou Shibazaki is caught in the middle of the investigation as the city descends into panic. Zankyou no Terror follows Nine and Twelve, the boys behind Sphinx, as they wreak havoc on the city, driven by their own tragic past.

Episodes 1 and 2 were previewed at a screening in Los Angeles at Anime Expo on July 5, 2014. Regular broadcasting began on July 11, 2014. In an interview with Otaku USA Magazine director Shinichirou Watanabe stated that the music of Icelandic band Sigur Rós gave him visual images that inspired the series and its soundtrack. He also states that the team went to Iceland to record the music.
