Sinopse

With both new and old companions, Parn defends his village from the brutal onslaught of a goblin horde. After their triumph, Parn, his cleric ally Etoh, the elf Deedlit, the dwarf Ghim, and the sorcerer Slayn embark on a quest to uncover the malevolent force now plaguing the island of Lodoss. The group battles sinister demonic beings but is soon captured by the guards of a walled city. Though they are swiftly freed, they fail to prevent Ashram—a mighty warrior ordered by the renegade hero Beld to conquer Lodoss—from seizing the city and slaying its revered commander. Humbled by his own inadequacy, Parn vows to surpass Ashram. Yet, behind Beld’s political schemes, the sorceress Karla appears to be orchestrating far more sinister designs, and Parn must rally further aid to avert a disaster that threatens to engulf Lodoss and all he cherishes.

Background

Lodoss-tou Senki was released on DVD in six volumes by Victor Entertainment on September 21, 2006. To mark the OVA’s 25th and 30th anniversaries, Kadokawa issued a remastered Blu-ray version as a special edition on November 29, 2013, and as a standard edition on August 24, 2018. In North America, Central Park Media released the anime on DVD in a two-disc set under the title Records of Lodoss War on September 2, 1998, followed by a remastered version on July 9, 2002. After acquiring the rights, Funimation released a six-disc box set featuring Lodoss-tou Senki on Blu-ray and its sequel TV series, Lodoss-tou Senki: Eiyuu Kishi Den, on DVD on August 6, 2019. The first eight episodes adapt the first light novel volume, while the final five loosely adapt the third and fourth volumes.
